With over a decades worth of experience in directing, I am a provisionally accredited member the Institute of Directors, and a member of the Academy of Management.

Currently the co-chair of the Nelson-Marlborough CDANZ branch, I have held Chair roles with the Founders Committee, the Business Development Company and am a Past-President of Whakatu Rotary. I have directed for six years on the board of the Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce, for five years on the Founders Committee, and for six years on the board of the Business Development Company.

In my time at the Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce I developed sound board procedures to evaluate and mitigate risk, to enable director evaluations and to ensure the board met all their legal requirements while growing a sound organisation. While leading the BDC I set up CEO review systems, benchmarks and oversaw the safe transition of the organisation through a significant personnel change.

My most recent appointment was as the Communications Director for the national executive of the Career Development Association of New Zealand (CDANZ), which I held for four years. For two years I was also the Treasurer of the organisation. I stepped down from my role with CDANZ in order to focus, in 2016, on my PhD.
