Finding sound for webinars watched on Chrome

You may not be aware that, when you watch a webinar on Chrome, the sound file is stored on your PC in a temp file. While you often can't download the video file, you can retrieved the sound file from temp storage in your User Data Directory.

You can find the location of your User Data Directory by entering %localappdata%\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Cache into your Windows search field. Simply click on the Cache folder that pops up, sort by time, and you will see one or more files of several megabytes, without a suffix at the time you watched the webinar.

Now comes the crazy bit. You have to guess the file extension.

The usual ones are .flv or .mp3 (sometimes .mp4).

Anyway, have a go.
