Continuing the sustainability theme, a group of Kiwis have formed the Pure Advantage group. Consisting of Sir Stephen Tindall, Kiwibank chair Rob Morrison, Air New Zealand CEO Rob Fyfe, Villa Maria Estate founder Sir George Fistonich, professional director Joan Withers and CEO Duncan Stewart, the group is pushing for New Zealand to walk its talk on "100% pure".
Pure Advantage has put out a four-step plan, calling on all Kiwis to:
- Admit that our economy & environment is in a chronic downward spiral;
- Understand the long-term links between our performance and our environment;
- Develop a NZ-wide green growth strategy, which includes all Kiwis, businesses and government;
- Implement that strategy through all New Zealanders, businesses and government.
