Some time ago I posted a response to a quote solution by the Quote Investigator, Garson O'Toole (actually the pseudonym for Professor Gregory F. Sullivan), about Samuel Goldwyn. Garson was trying to track down whether Samuel Goldwyn was indeed the originator of "include me out", and I thought that I knew of a supporting source.
I remembered having read that quote in a 1975 autobiography by David Niven, called "Bring on the Empty Horses", so I posted this provenance on Garson's Facebook page.
The Quote Investigator honoured my contribution in a post saying "Thanks to Sam Young who noted that David Niven had mentioned the saying attributed to Goldwyn".
Nice to be thanked!
Sam
