Nothing to do with stealth ;-D
However, despite having had YouTube since 2006, we haven't had access to dark mode. Or, as Abent says, "there’s been no official way that we know about" (14 April 2017, emphasis added).
But Google Chrome has two ways of doing this in YouTube, now.
First way:
- Open Chrome.
- Log in to YouTube.
- While on the YouTube page, open Chrome Developer Tools (Ctrl, Shift & I)
- A sidebar will pop up containing code. Click on the "Console" tab right at the top.
- Paste in document.cookie="VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE=fPQ4jCL6EiE" .
- Close the developer tools sidebar
- Refresh the YouTube page.
- Click your YouTube profile picture, select Dark Mode from the dropdown, and toggle the switch to enable the mode.
- Add 'gaming' to your YouTube URL (eg "https://gaming.youtube.com/watch?v=-4K5ecelDzo)"
