Sometimes we get stuck when trying to remember how to do things; particularly things we don't have to do very often. I got stuck recently in Word with how to remove some background colour formatting which came along with a whole swag of text which I had copied in from Facebook Messenger.
I tried a number of things, including highlighting the paragraph and then changing the background colour, to no avail. However, I had forgotten that simple little "erase formatting" icon - the image accompanying this post - on the Home ribbon, in the Font section.
All we need do is to highlight the text we want to strip the formatting from, then click that icon. Too easy.
But only if we remember how :-)
