Updating Brave browser

I so enjoy using the Brave browser. It helps me to avoid the tsunami of advertising bumpf, so I can enjoy looking for the real things I am searching for: not being marketed to every second of my online experience. 

However, every now and again the ads will re-break through. Sometimes our browser will flag that an update is due with the menu icon on the far right-hand side of the tool bar becoming an "Update" button:

And when this appears, we simply click on that to restart Brave and all the drivers will update. Problem solved. Brave will reopen with all our tabs still there, and without those plaguey ads.

But. Sometimes the ads arrive ahead of the major update, and for those times, it is good to know that we can check out particular drivers or components to see if something already has an ad fix. We simply key the following address into the Brave address bar: 

brave://components

On the page that appears, Ctrl & F to open the search box (Command and F for Mac users), and search for "Brave ad block resources". Click the "Check for update" button below that entry, and we may solve our problem ahead of the major fix :-)
