Where has my PSP Palette Gone?

As I have previously mentioned, I am still using some VERY old Corel software, called PaintShop Pro (or PSP). I keep using this piece of kit because it actually does the job well. It mayn't have all the bells and whistles, but it does what it does easily, simply, and exactly as directed. Gold.

However, because the software is so old, it does cause some headaches when you run into problems. Recently I opened PSP only to find that my colour palette had disappeared. I have no idea WHY it had disappeared, but it proved surprisingly elusive in being restored. After getting to hair-tearing-out frustration levels, I decided to Google the issue.

Of course, someone - Charlio - had experienced exactly the same problem in 2006. An expert user had supplied the solution, which was an easy fix: simply go to View | Palettes | Materials and the colour palette will toggle on or off.

So very, very easy. But only when you know how!
