Old Versions of FIrefox

Recently, in the midst of a clean up, I found an XP laptop, and decided to chuck it on TradeMe to see if there was any interest. Of course, before I could sell, I had to clean it up. One of the things I wanted to do was to delete and reinstall the web browsers to be quite sure of having got rid of shortcuts, favourites and history. I merrily deleted all my old browsers... then ran into difficulty finding XP-compatible versions to re-download.

"Silly," I told myself. "First find, THEN delete." Of course, by then, it was too late. I had already uninstalled and Shift + Deleted the old folders. Then the online hunt began for Windows 32 bit Firefox versions, compatible with XP, way back from 2012 until it was no longer supported.

While it took me quite a while to find, you can imagine my pleasure to stumble across a library of old versions held by Mozilla! Any version of Firefox that you want to find can be found here. You simply have to mine down to the particular version that you were wanting. Then it is just a matter of trial and error - download and install - to get a version that will work.

Too easy!
