How do I search my OWN YouTube channel?

I have my own YouTube channel that I use for student materials: for recorded lectures, how to tips and hints. And, because I don't want all this stuff in the public domain, all items that I upload are marked as "unlisted".

Normally that wouldn't be a problem. However, for some time I have been trying to work out why I cannot search effectively on YouTube for my materials. Then the penny dropped. My unlisted setting meant that Google made all of my keywords, titles, playlists and other tags off limits to the algorithms. None of the search terms, titles or playlists become searchable terms...

So if we want to search for a specific video in and amongst all our unlisted videos, we can't. Blast.

There are consequences to opting out!
